The Instinct of Matter

It all started at a very young age with drawing, then the raw contact with clay.

I sought to tame volumes, to capture the expression of characters.

Modeling, physically sculpting, and shaping matter in three dimensions quickly became my natural language.

But a crucial question soon arose: how could I make a living from this passion for form and manual work?

 

The World of Automotive Design

This question and this obsession with lines naturally led me to automotive design.

It is an environment of absolute demand, where I acquired surgical precision, surface mastery, and millimeter-level control of reflections.

However, this rigor imposed a strict framework. A "Corporate" world where technique and industrial rules stifled the creative freedom of my beginnings.

The Digital Anomaly

My journey and the digitalization of the industry inevitably led me to trade my traditional sculpting tools for a simple computer mouse.

This was always a major conflict and a total disagreement with my inner self, a true betrayal of raw matter.

But let's be honest: when a sculptor discovers the absolute power of "Ctrl+Z," how can they resist?

Kalium 19 was born from this liberation.

Today, I use digital tools no longer as an imposed constraint, but as a weapon of creation, freed from the physical constraints of clay.

I can finally push details to the extreme, erase, start over, and sculpt in total freedom, without compromise.

It is the exact encounter between industrial rigor and a deeply artisanal soul.

The Engineering of a Smile

I decided to listen to this voice inside me, too long stifled by the fear of rejection, the dread of criticism, or simply the difficulty of exposing a part of my soul.

It was time to believe in myself.

I therefore chose to put my skills at the service of humor and lightness, to create an absolute contrast: applying the ruthless standards of high-end design to a totally uninhibited and irreverent character.

Poking the Giant.

The Art Toy market is currently saturated with colossal licenses and endlessly recycled franchises.

Even knowing that this path goes against industry trends, I wanted, on my own scale, to tickle the toes of the giant.

It is so much safer to rely on what already works.

But I chose the opposite path by creating an original Intellectual Property from scratch.

It is a demanding journey, but it is the only one that allows an authentic voice to be heard, without hiding behind the success of others, to offer you collections that you will not find anywhere else.

The Signal is Just Beginning

The object needed a soul, a reason to exist beyond its aesthetics.

That is how the lore of the Kalium 19 complex came to life.

This is only the beginning of the signal, and believe me, many secrets are still waiting to be decrypted in this database.

But beyond the story or the technical aspect, my ultimate goal remains deeply human.

I designed the piece I always dreamed of displaying in my own home: a concentrate of positive energy whose mere presence is enough to hack the gloom of everyday life and bring a smile to your face. Knowing that a simple glance at this statue can add a little spark to your day is my greatest pride.
